Temple Of Light
- about -
Temple of Light is the second game I produced with Unreal Engine. The goal of this game is to use a pre-set amount of reflective blocks to deflect a laser, a line trace with a cylindrical asset following it, along the room and getting it to be reflected onto the goal. This then opens the door and allows you to move forward onto the next level.
Though I never managed to finish the game due to personal, and hardware reasons (as my gpu broke down), I am still very proud of the progress I made.
- the proccess -
The first thing I did was create blockouts of each of the levels, this gave me a rough idea of the space I had to work with and really helped me plan out the progression of the game.
Then I got to work, creating the laser neccicary assets and textures for all the blocks, emittors, doors and structures.
The final stages of functionality began by littering these assets throughout the levels. It was a creative and iterative proccess, trying to up with challanges that felt fun and rewarding, was in itself a challange that felt fun and rewarding at the end of it.
